Ken joined Mactaggart & Mickel in 2008 after leaving the Board of Hallam Land Management
He currently heads up the Strategic Land Business Unit within the Mactaggart & Mickel Group of Companies.
Graduating with an honours degree in economics, Ken has some 40 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry in land and planning.
Reporting directly to Group Chief Executive, Ken has established Mactaggart & Mickel as a significant name in the land promotion sector both north and south of the border.
And another thing…in his spare time, Ken occasionally ruins a perfectly good walk with a game of golf.
Cheltenham-based Nevin is an invaluable land and property professional celebrating 36 years in the house building and land development industry.
Chartered Town Planner and Planning & Development Surveyor with proven track record of land acquisition, planning promotion and project delivery across the South of England.
Track record of overcoming the most difficult and complex of situations.
Takes a total approach to land promotion, provides a clear path to achieve desired outcomes while maintaining a commercial perspective and an accommodating, friendly approach.
And another thing…judging by his own words, Nevin is a budding poet: ‘Often comments and quips, that has been involved with, or employed to undertake, every part of the development land promotion or housing building process, aside from laying the bricks.”
London-based Conor boasts 15 years' property industry experience.
Expertise ranges from Sales to purchasing sites for individual niche developments, parcelling together large-scale developments and progressing Local Plan allocations.
Relentless drive to getting a result no matter what hurdles are thrown in front of him.
Adaptive/flexible with a personal, common-sense approach, helping break down a complex planning system, simplifying the process to cut through the red tape whilst being friendly and extremely commercially minded.
And another thing…Conor won the ‘best boxer of the tournament award’ at University in Liverpool against the Irish Universities Select Team. Now in training for a 2021 Ironman event.
Nick joined Mactaggart & Mickel in May 2021 following two and a half years at Bellway Homes North London and previous experience at Berkeley Homes.
Completed a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors-accredited Masters in Real Estate and Development at The University of Sheffield which provided invaluable planning and development knowledge.
Personable and commercially-minded, Nick has acquired both smaller and larger development sites.
Reporting directly to Conor Roberts, Nick aims to create lasting relationships with landowners to bring forward land opportunities through the planning system through a collaborative and detailed approach.
And another thing…. Nick’s an avid sportsman who loves playing golf and tennis as well as supporting West Ham United Football Club and the England and British Lions rugby teams.
Michael joined Mactaggart & Mickel in June 2021 leaving a position as a Principal Planner at Boyer with 8 years’ experience in planning consultancy.
A Chartered Town Planner, Michael received a Master’s Degree in Planning, Practice and Research from Cardiff University in 2013 following a Bachelor’s Degree in modern foreign languages.
Michael has successfully identified many sites now being promoted in Local Plans across the South-West, including medium and large-scale development sites and urban extensions, having made initial contact with landowners directly.
Reporting directly to Nevin Holden, Michael aims to capitalise upon his experience in the planning sector and in bringing sites forward for development with the aim of significantly broadening Mactaggart & Mickel’s presence in the South-West.
And another thing…. Michael is a keen amateur astronomer and spends most of his free time keeping fit, writing, learning about new discoveries in science and learning foreign languages.
Having obtained an Honours Degree in Environmental Planning at the University Strathclyde in 2000, Bruce is a qualified town planner.
He has over 20 years’ experience working within the development industry in both planning consultancy and working directly for homebuilders.
Bruce is passionate about good place making and delivering high quality development that responds to local needs and circumstances.
When not at work Bruce enjoys spending time with his young family, live rock music and travelling to interesting places.
